Our Mission

At the City of Russellville Planning and Development Department, our mission is to guide responsible growth, protect community character, and support a high quality of life for all who live, work, and invest in our city.

We work to ensure that new development is thoughtful, safe, and sustainable—balancing the needs of today with the goals of tomorrow. Whether we’re reviewing projects, shaping long-range plans, or helping neighbors navigate city processes, our team is here to serve with transparency, fairness, and care for the people and places that make Russellville home.

RAISE Grant

The Rebuilding American Infrastructure with Sustainability and Equity, or RAISE Discretionary Grant program, provides a unique opportunity for the DOT to invest in road, rail, transit and port projects that promise to achieve national objectives. Previously known as the Better Utilizing Investments to Leverage Development (BUILD) and Transportation Investment Generating Economic Recovery (TIGER) Discretionary Grants, Congress has dedicated nearly $14.3 billion for fifteen rounds of National Infrastructure Investments to fund projects that have a significant local or regional impact.

In each competition, DOT receives hundreds of applications to build and repair critical pieces of our freight and passenger transportation networks. To read about the Cities RAISE Award and that process click here.
