The City of Russellville is accepting applications for the following position:

Full-Time Aquatic Center Custodian

This position is responsible for cleaning and maintaining the Aquatic Center, including shower areas, restrooms, offices, break rooms, meeting spaces, and surrounding facilities. Duties include trash removal, dusting, sweeping, mopping, and general cleaning and disinfecting of all assigned areas.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must be at least 18 years of age
High school diploma or GED
12–18 months of related work experience
Valid Arkansas driver’s license
Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen

Pay Rate: $15.10 per hour

Now Hiring: Seasonal Lifeguards

The City of Russellville Parks and Recreation Department is accepting applications for Seasonal Lifeguards. This position is responsible for ensuring the safety of aquatic facility patrons through active supervision, rule enforcement, and emergency response, while also performing routine administrative and support duties. Responsible for ensuring the safety of aquatic facility patrons by preventing and responding to emergencies. Must be able to swim 200 yards using the front crawl or breaststroke, tread water without using hands for 2 minutes, dive 12 feet to retrieve an object, and swim on the back with the object for 25 yards then exit the pool without using stairs.

Work Schedule:

Pools operate 7 days a week, with shifts ranging from 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Essential Duties:

Monitor pool and deck areas to ensure patron safety
Enforce pool rules and established procedures
Identify and remove safety hazards or obstructions
Respond to emergencies and demonstrate proper rescue techniques
Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisory staff

Minimum Requirements:

Must be at least 16 years of age
Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, and weekends
Ability to obtain Lifeguard, First Aid, and CPR certifications upon hire
Must successfully complete required swim and rescue skill evaluations

Pay: $13.00 per hour
